CONTEST NAME: Matty Matheson x Get Cracking® Contest (the “Contest”)
DATE REGS POSTED: September 14, 2026 OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES (the “Rules”)
1. CONTEST PERIOD:
The “Matty Matheson x Get Cracking®” Contest (the “Contest”) begins at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 14, 2026, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on November 30, 2026 (the “Contest Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY:
The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (including residents of the Province of Quebec) who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of Contest entry. Employees, representatives, or agents (and those with whom such persons are domiciled, whether related or not) of Canadian Egg Marketing Agency (operating as “Egg Farmers of Canada”) (the “Sponsor”), Citizen Relations (the “Administrator”), their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize suppliers, dealers, advertising/promotion agencies, and any other individual(s) or entity involved in the development, implementation, administration, or fulfilment of the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”) are ineligible to enter. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. By participating in this Contest, you signify your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Rules.
3. HOW TO ENTER:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
To enter the Contest, an eligible participant must, during the Contest Period, visit the Contest website at eggs.ca (the “Contest Website”) and:
- Complete, in full, and submit the online Contest registration form (including without limitation, the entrant’s first and last name, email, and province/territory of residence); and
- Confirm that the entrant has read and agreed to these official Rules.
Once the entrant has fully completed the above entry process, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the Prize Draw (see Rule 4 below).
LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON: There is a strict limit of one (1) Contest entry per person/email address during the Contest Period. Multiple entries or submissions by the same individual are strictly prohibited. If any person has attempted, by any means, to:
- (i) obtain or submit more than one (1) Contest entry; or
- (ii) use multiple names, multiple email addresses, multiple identities, or any other means not in keeping with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Rules to enter or otherwise participate in, or to disrupt, the Contest;
then such person will be disqualified from the Contest in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
All information requested by and supplied by an entrant must be truthful, accurate, and in no way misleading. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any entrant who supplies untruthful, inaccurate, or misleading details and/or information.
The Contest Parties, including the Sponsor and the Administrator, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any incomplete, incorrect, late, garbled, or incompatible information entered or provided by any entrant or purported entrant (all of which is void). The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of this Contest will be the official time-keeping device(s) of the Sponsor.
All entries and entrants are subject to verification at any time and for any reason. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation, government-issued photo identification):
- (i) for the purposes of verifying an individual’s eligibility to participate in, and receive a prize in, this Contest;
- (ii) for the purposes of verifying the eligibility and/or legitimacy of an entry and/or other information for the purposes of this Contest; and/or
- (iii) for any other reason the Sponsor deems necessary, in its sole and absolute discretion, for the purposes of administering this Contest in accordance with the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Rules.
Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeframe specified by the Sponsor may result in disqualification in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
4. THE PRIZE DRAW:
A random draw (the “Prize Draw”) will take place at 32 Atlantic Ave, Toronto, ON M6K 1X8 at or about 11:00 a.m. ET on December 1, 2026, to select ten (10) potential Prize winners from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
5. THE PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING:
There are ten (10) prize packages (each a “Prize”, collectively the “Prizes”) available to be won in the Contest with an approximate retail value of a minimum of $400 CAD each. Each Prize consists of a package containing:
- Co-branded Matty Matheson and Get Cracking® merchandise
- MATHESON cast iron pan
- Other kitchen and cooking-related provisions
Odds of Winning:
The odds of winning a Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules during the Contest Period.
General Prize Conditions:
Each Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or assignable or redeemable for cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions are permitted, except at Sponsor’s option. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any Prize or component thereof with an item or items of equal or greater approximate retail value. There is a limit of one (1) Prize per person/household.
In no event and under no circumstances will the Sponsor or Released Parties be liable for more than ten (10) prizes, as stipulated in these Rules.
6. WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS:
NO ONE IS A WINNER UNLESS AND UNTIL THE SPONSOR OFFICIALLY CONFIRMS HIM/HER AS A WINNER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE RULES, EVEN IF SUCH PERSON IS ANNOUNCED AS A WINNER OR AN ELIGIBLE WINNER.
Upon initial notification attempt by the Sponsor, Administrator, or their designated representatives (via email, telephone, or other method at the Sponsor’s sole discretion), a potential Prize winner must respond within three (3) days (72 hours). Before being declared a confirmed Prize winner, each potential Prize winner must:
- (a) Correctly answer the Sponsor’s required mathematical skill-testing question within three (3) days (72 hours) of the question being presented; and
- (b) Sign and return to the Sponsor or Administrator (or as directed) the Sponsor’s declaration and release form within three (3) days (72 hours) of receipt. The release form will, among other things:
- (i) confirm compliance with these Rules;
- (ii) acknowledge acceptance of the Prize as awarded;
- (iii) release the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, the entrant’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of the Prize or any portion thereof; and
- (iv) agree to the publication, reproduction and/or other use of the entrant’s name, province/territory/city of residence, voice, statements about the Contest and/or photograph or other likeness without further notice or compensation, in any publicity or advertisement carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor or Administrator in any manner whatsoever, including print, broadcast, or the internet.
If an eligible winner:
- Fails to respond to the initial notification within three (3) days (72 hours);
- Fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question within three (3) days (72 hours);
- Fails to sign and return the properly executed Contest documents within three (3) days (72 hours);
- Has any prize or prize notification returned as undeliverable;
- Cannot accept (or is unwilling to accept) the Prize as awarded for any reason; or
- Is determined to be in violation of these Rules (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion);
then such potential Prize winner may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be disqualified (and, if disqualified, will forfeit all rights to the applicable Prize). In such event, the Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules as the potential Prize winner. For greater certainty, the Sponsor does not have the obligation to select an alternate eligible potential winner.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
The Sponsor, the Administrator, Meta Platforms Inc. , and their respective corporate affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives) (the “Released Parties”) will not be liable for, and each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from, any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, arising from:
- Participation & Prize Usage: Participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize or any portion thereof;
- Technical Failures: Technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, software, or other mechanical equipment, as well as the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; and
- Administrative & Human Error: Electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.
The Contest is being conducted by the Sponsor and the Administrator and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms Inc. or its corporate affiliates, including Facebook.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal.
ANYONE DEEMED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE SPONSOR’S INTERPRETATION OF THE LETTER AND/OR SPIRIT OF THESE RULES FOR ANY REASON IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION IN THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE SPONSOR AT ANY TIME.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual that it deems to be in violation of the Sponsor’s interpretation of the letter and spirit of these Rules. The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse participation by any person whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter (all as determined by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). In its sole and absolute determination, the Sponsor may disqualify any person who acts in any manner to threaten, abuse, or harass any person.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to withdraw, amend, or suspend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules, including, without limitation, any error(s), problem(s), tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or failure(s) of any kind whatsoever. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest in any way (as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion) may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to cancel, amend, or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules, in any way without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind, or for any other reason whatsoever. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Sponsor reserves the right to administer an alternate test of skill as it deems appropriate based on the circumstances and/or to comply with applicable law.
By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, Administrator, and their agents storing, sharing, and using the personal information submitted by the entrant in connection with this Contest for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy at eggs.ca/privacy-policy. This paragraph does not limit any other consent(s) that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use, and/or disclosure of that individual’s personal information.
The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to adjust any of the dates and/or time frames stipulated in these Rules to the extent deemed necessary by the Sponsor for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant, verifying any other information relevant to the proper administration of the Contest, or as a result of any problems or in light of any other circumstances.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials (including point of sale, television, print, or online advertising, or instructions given by an employee of the Sponsor or Administrator), the terms and conditions of these Rules shall prevail, govern, and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Rules or the rights and obligations of participants, Sponsor, Administrator, or any of the Released Parties in connection with the Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the domestic laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties hereby consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Ontario in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Rules or relating to this Contest.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with the terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
