Fresh Doughnuts with Nutella Sauce

There’s nothing quite like the warm comfort of homemade doughnuts, especially when drizzled with Nutella sauce. These little treats make an excellent addition to your morning coffee or an afternoon pick-me-up. The blend of soft dough and rich chocolate provides an indulgent escape any time you need a sweet break.
Ingredients
Fresh Doughnuts
- 160 g Milk
- 60 g Butter
- 70 g Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 3 g Salt
- 30 g Sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Cinnamon
- 4 tbsp (60 mL) Sugar
Nutella Sauce
- ½ cup (125 mL) Nutella
- 1 cup (250 mL) Sugar
- 1 cup (250 mL) 35% cream
- Pinch of salt
Instructions

- Step 1
Bring milk and butter to a boil, add in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
- Step 2
Place mixture in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment and add in eggs one at a time until completely emulsified. Let beat for 8-10 minutes until very glossy. Set aside.
- Step 3
In a tabletop deep fryer or pot of oil heated to 350°F (175°C) (use a thermometer) place a spoon full of batter in and let cook for 5 minutes.
- Step 4
Toss with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
Nutella Sauce
- Step 1
Melt sugar over a high heat in a heavy bottom pan. When the sugar starts to brown, add in cream and whisk aggressively. When it’s mixed in well, add in salt and Nutella.
- Step 2
Use as dipping sauce.
