High-Protein Chocolate Mousse

This is our take on the viral hard boiled egg chocolate mousse. It’s delicious, nutritious and has a very light and airy texture, providing 12 grams of protein and 2 grams of fibre per serving. You’ll be making this recipe on repeat!

Ingredients

  • 6 hard boiled eggs
  • ⅓ cup (75 mL) whole milk
  • ⅓ cup (75 mL) maple syrup
  • ⅓ cup (75 mL) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp (7.5 mL) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream or Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, and chocolate shavings or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Step 1

    In a high-powered blender, combine the hard boiled eggs, milk, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt. Blend on high until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

  • Step 2

    Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours. When ready to serve, top as desired.
