Fatal Attraction Cookies

These chocolatey crinkle cookies blend rich unsweetened chocolate with chocolate chips for double the cocoa flavour. A coating of icing sugar creates a striking contrast and adds a touch of sweetness. The dough comes together quickly, then chills before baking to achieve the signature crackled appearance.
Ingredients
- 4 squares (120 g) unsweetened chocolate
- ½ cup (125 mL) shortening
- 2 cups (500 mL) sugar
- 2 tsp (10 mL) vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups (500 mL) flour
- 2 tsp (10 mL) baking powder
- 1 cup (250 mL) chocolate chips
- ½ cup (125 mL) icing sugar
Instructions
- Step 1

- Step 2

- Step 3

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
